Former Upson-Lee softball standout and current University of Tennessee at Chattanooga Lady Mocs All-Conference 2nd baseman Sara Poteat will conduct an MVP softball camp beginning Monday, July 11th.
The camp is for ages 8 through 12 and will be held at the Thomaston-Upson Civic Center on field one from 6 pm to 9 pm Monday through Friday.
A second camp for ages 13 though 18 will run from July 25th to July 29th, same times & location.
Poteat led the Mocs to the Division I Southern Conference Championship for the 4th consecutive year in 2010 and then claimed number 5 in a row this year. She was named the 2011 Southern Conference Tournament MVP and selected to the All-Tournament Team as well as the All-Region Team.
Sara was named the Thomaston Times 2008/2009 Student Athlete of the Year as a senior at Upson-Lee.
The cost of the camp is $65.00 and participants are asked to bring a water bottle.
A snack and drink will be provided.
